Safety day - fire brigade

Today, members of the blue watch from the Hemel Hempstead fire and rescue team came to our school to tell us what we should do in a fire. a closed door can hold back a fire for 30 mins and the air canisters(that the firemen use) will last for 49 mins; if the temperature is to high, the canister can last for as little as 15 mins. Here are a few examples of what the fire fighters have to do ; rescue animals, rescue people from car crashes and rescue people from house fires.
